Kellogg School District Expands Free Meal Program to All Schools Through CEP
The Kellogg School District is excited to announce that all KSD schools are now covered under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) grant, ensuring that every student in every building receives free meals, both breakfast and lunch, under this provision at the following schools:
Canyon Elementary
Pinehurst Elementary
Kellogg Middle School
Kellogg High School
What’s Free for Students Under CEP
All students at KSD schools now receive, at no cost:
Breakfast
Lunch
No applications are required, and no student pays for meals—every student eats free, regardless of family income.
What is NOT Automatically Free
The CEP program covers regular meals only. Extra items (sometimes called “à la carte”) are still available for purchase, including:
Milk (when purchased separately)
Second servings
Bottled drinks
Snacks (chips, cookies, etc.)
Ice cream or specialty items
What This Means for Students
No money needed for daily breakfast or lunch
No free/reduced meal applications required
Every student receives the same meals, with no distinctions

The school MAY share your eligibility information with education, health, and nutrition programs to help them evaluate, fund, or determine benefits for their programs, auditors for program reviews, and law enforcement officials to help them look into violations of program rules.

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
