BOARD OF TRUSTEES ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR TRUSTEE ZONE 1
Kellogg, ID - The Board of Trustees for Kellogg Joint School District declared a vacancy for the Zone 1 trustee position at Tuesday’s board meeting. The board will appoint a person to serve the remainder of the term which ends December 31, 2029.
The Board of Trustees asks any eligible member interested in applying for the open trustee position to submit an application by Friday, January 23, 2026 at 12 p.m. In order to apply, members must fill out an application on the KSD website.
Application Instructions:
1. Go to https://www.kelloggschools.org/o/kjd/page/human-resources
2. Click the “View Current Employment Opportunities" button - this will take you to the KSD JobBoard..
3. Click on the KSD Board Trustee Zone 1 position to highlight/select it and you can click the “Details” button to the right of the position listing(s) or “Apply for Selected Position(s)” to begin the application process.
5. If you do not already have a JobBoard account, you will be prompted to create one. If you do have a JobBoard account, you will be prompted to log in.
Board member eligibility requires the candidate to be a registered voter in the school district with residency in the zone that they represent.
The Zone 1 trustee represents the south side of Kellogg, Wardner and the area south of Interstate 90 east to Big Creek. A map and legal description of the zone can be found on the district website at https://www.kelloggschools.org/page/school-board.
The Board of Trustees will review all applications and may appoint a candidate at a public meeting and will be sworn in at the next following regular meeting in February. The meetings will take place at the Kellogg School District Office, 800 Bunker Ave., Kellogg.
