At a special meeting held on August 3, 2026, the Board of Trustees of Joint School District #391 approved the appointment of Bradi Zeigler to fill the Zone 1 trustee vacancy. The vacancy was declared on July 14, 2026, in accordance with Idaho statute.
A public interview of Ms. Zeigler and Ethan Wendt was held and followed by a board discussion, Trustee Bonnie Farmin moved to appoint Ms. Zeigler, with Trustee Sam Gibbons seconding the motion. The appointment was approved by a roll call vote of Chair Alexa Griffin (Zeigler), Vice Chair Sam Gibbons (Zeigler), Trustee Bonnie Farmin (Wendt), and Trustee John Schroeder (Zeigler).
With 20 years of experience in public education, starting as a paraeducator in the Kellogg School District and most recently serving as head secretary at Post Falls High School, Ms. Zeigler brings organizational skill, passion, and a grounded perspective to the board. During her interview, Zeigler identified funding structures, student attendance, teacher retention, and public communication as the district's most pressing focus areas. Guided by common sense and integrity, she emphasized the importance of fostering a safe environment for all students and staff, and taking a collaborative, process-minded approach to district governance.
Ms. Zeigler was sworn in by Board Clerk Megan Bumgardner at the regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees on September 8, 2026.
