October is Bus Safety month ! Students from the developmental preschool visited the KSD Bus Garage, hosted by Transportation Director Michelle Tryon.
Our littlest students were excited to see all the tools needed to make the wheels on the bus go 'round and where the buses "sleep". 💜💛

Check out the “Historical Supplemental Levy Rate” graphic for context on how we’ve arrived here. On November 4, our community will vote on a supplemental levy that, if passed, will replace the current one that ends June 30, 2026.

This levy supports essential services like teachers, operations, technology, supplies, and more—the backbone of what keeps our schools running day to day. For more details and how it may affect you, visit our supplemental levy page.

Did you know that a large part of our funding from the state is calculated by average daily attendance (ADA) and not enrollment?
kelloggschools.org/supplemental-levy-election-information

DID YOU KNOW? The State of Idaho funds schools based on Average Daily Attendance (ADA) of students. In 24-25, the state funded 91.78% of our students because of regular absences. This means KSD lost $5,496 each day, a total of $802,458. Supplemental levy dollars help offset this reduction in funding. The Nov. 4th supplemental levy will replace the current levy that maintains programs, class sizes and opportunities for all KSD students All In for Our Kids! The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $237.17 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. The levy will be assessed for 2 years. Find out more @ kelloggschools.org/supplemental-levy-election-information

The Kellogg School District is deeply grateful to Post Falls resident Cheryl McGee for her incredibly generous and thoughtful gift. Over the past year, Ms. McGee has been gathering brand new and gently used coats, and on September 26, she and her friends delivered 400 coats in all sizes to our central office. These coats will be shared with students at all four of our schools to help keep them warm through the winter months. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. McGee and her friends for this wonderful act of kindness and support for our kids.
