We're so happy to see so many smiling faces in our classrooms each week! Let's keep those attendance numbers shining bright! A big part of that is staying healthy! Remember to practice those healthy habits – good sleep, nutritious foods, and handwashing are our superheroes against germs! 💪 When our kiddos are feeling their best, they don't miss out on all the fun and learning happening at school. Let's work together to keep our school community healthy and thriving! #ksdstudentsfirst

Dear KSD Parents/Guardians:
The KSD Board of Trustees adopted a Student Electronic Device policy on January 14, 2025. This policy is in accordance with the Phone Free Learning Act Executive Order issued by Idaho Governor Brad Little on October 31, 2024.
The policy states that students in grades K-8 will keep their cell phones and other similar devices , turned off and in lockers, backpacks or designated classroom cubbies during school hours.
Students in grades 9-12 will keep their cell phones and other personal devices off and in lockers, backpacks or classroom cubbies during instructional hours, which includes passing periods. For students in grades 9-12, devices may be used before school and during lunch.
Parents/guardians are advised that the best way to get in touch with their child during the school day is by calling the school's main office.
We appreciate your cooperation in promoting student health and safety, preventing distractions to learning, improving academic focus, preventing cyberbullying and fostering responsible technology use.

Merry Christmas from the Silver Valley Special Services Co-Op Preschool!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Kellogg School District Board of Trustees has begun the process of implementing a new policy to promote student health and safety, improve academic focus, and prevent cyberbullying. This policy comes from the "Phone Free Learning Act", an Executive Order issued by Idaho Governor Little on October 31, 2024.
This policy will require students in grades K-8 to keep their personal electronic devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) off and stored in their lockers, backpacks, or designated classroom storage areas during the school day. Students in grades 9-12 will be required to keep their devices off and stored during instructional time.
We understand the importance of technology in today’s world, but we believe this policy will create a more focused and positive learning environment for all students.
Please be on the lookout for more information, after the holiday break, as the policy is finalized. We will provide additional details, including specific guidelines and exceptions for students with special needs and emergencies.
Thank you for your support!
Great job, KSD families! Your commitment to student attendance has made this holiday season extra special. Let's keep the momentum going when school resumes on January 6th. A strong start to the new year means a strong finish! #ksdstudentsfirst

Happy Thanksgiving!

When children and teens regularly attend school in person, they’re more likely to develop their whole selves—personally, socially, academically, and emotionally. They’re routinely able to connect with friends and adults, collaborate and problem-solve, make decisions, think critically, be creative, and engage in hands-on learning. In other words, showing up matters! #ksdstudentsfirst
