ICYMI: The Facts on Full-Day Kindergarten 🎒✏️
We had a fantastic turnout for Kindergarten Registration at Canyon Elementary on May 8th, and we can’t wait to meet our future Pinehurst Elementary students this coming Friday, May 15th!
As these new families join our district, we want to reshare some important information regarding how our Kindergarten program is structured.
Did you know?
While the state of Idaho only provides funding for half-day Kindergarten, the Kellogg School District has long prioritized a full-day program. We believe this extra time is vital for building foundational literacy, math, and social skills.
Currently, the second half of the school day is made possible through our local supplemental levy. As we approach the May 19th election, we want to ensure our community understands how these funds directly support our youngest learners.
